What to Pack in a Car

Hitting the open road with your barkada or family is a great way to spend your vacation. If you’re going on a road trip in the near future, here’s a list of (13) car essentials you should have on hand for your next adventure.

  1. Any paperwork related to your car, including your valid driver’s license, car registration, and your car’s manual.
  2. A spare tire, in case you need to replace one.
  3. A jack, to change the tire.
  4. A roadside emergency kit, which should include jumper cables, tire pressure gauges, early warning devices, among others.
  5. An old school paper map, because you never know when you’re going to run out of service or battery.
  6. A first aid and personal hygiene kit, which should also include any medicines needed by the passengers and driver, as well as bug spray.
  7. A multitool to fix any minor repairs.
  8. A flashlight if you’re going camping or for extra lighting in areas with particularly low visibility
  9. Phone chargers and USB cords, to keep your electronics powered up.
  10. A power inverter for convenient and long lasting charge on your electronic devices.
  11. A dashboard cell phone holder, so you can keep your eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel.
  12. Healthy snacks and drinks for when you inevitably get hangry in traffic.
  13. Motor car insurance from NCIA to help you, your family, and your friends stay out of the woods both on the way to and during your trip.
